Shred It

I have slowly been watching the scale creep up. I am SO sad to say that I have gained 15 lbs!! 5 of those pounds have been since the doctors started messing with my horomones. I am hoping to get them back under control. UNTIL then, I am going to have to be meticulous when it comes to my eating and exercising.

I began Jillian Michaels Shred-It program this morning. Not bad at all! It uses the kettlebell, which I already have. There were two moves I couldn't do, because of my knee...so I modified them.

Because I won the Life Style Change throught the American Heart Association, I have been asked to be on the CoxHealth walking team for the Fit and Friendly Corporation Competition. I will, once again, renew my BodyBugg to stay on top of EVERYTHING!!

I am already walking 30 mintues a day for a walking challenge at work AND at church. PLUS, I am trying to train for a half marathon to do with my daughter. That part is not easy!! It has been to cold to run outside, I don't like to do more than two miles at a time on the treadmill...SO I am going to have to re-think this May half marathon!! MAYBE Beka won't go to Yellowstone and she can stay here to do the half with me in November!! That would be AMAZING!!

Disappointment in myself!!

Over time, I have discovered that I am an emotional eater. This was re-confirmed this weekend!! My husband invited our adopted daughter over to stay the night Friday night. She is 20, moved out and basically disowned us after her graduation. He is making horrible, heartbreaking choices...that one day she will regret! I can't tell her ANYTHING right now! Our relationship has been a rollercoaster since her senior year!

Anyway, I overeat when I am stressed or unhappy. That was this weekend. I feel HORRIBLE!! In the past 6 months, I have used running to replace eating. BUT, since I am not running until my knee brace arrives (it has been ordered), I ate!!

BUT, I will not let that get me down! I had a bump in the road! Today is a new day!!

Bodybugg-Day 1

Well, here are my results for day one. My eating is obviously OUT OF WACK!! I now know WHY I need my bodybugg!! I have been overestimating how many calories I burn. I have been using a program on my phone which tells me how many calories are burned based on my weight and walking or running speed! NO WONDER my weight loss has stalled!!

I did not reach my calorie burn AND I didn't eat correctly!! BUT, I did reach my steps goal!!

ONE DAY AT A TIME!! I will get back in the swing of things!! P90X TONIGHT!!!!

My Goals

In order to reach any destination, you must define the path you will take to get there. This is my path...clearly defined goals to help me reach my goal weight of 150-155. I am 32 lbs away!

1) Eat within my calorie range, which is 1400-1600 calories.

2) Weigh and measure all my food...another lovely word for portion control!!

3) Track all my food intake on my blog and BB program. I am thinking about posting my food pictures...it all depends on my SLOW internet connection!

4) Eat three meals and two snacks with no eating after 7PM.

5) Incorporate fruits and vegetables throughout my meals and snacks.

6) Eliminate sugar and hidden sugar from my diet. Only consume products that have 5 grams of sugar or less.

7) Record my steps taken, calories burned, and calories consumed on my facebook page and my blog.

8) Get a minimum of 10,000 steps in daily, but strive for 12,000-15,000.

9) Begin P90X.

10) Update weight loss on my facebook page and my blog.
